WHAT IS HEAET PIPE SOLAR COLLECTOR?

Kingship Heat Pipe Solar Collector consists of heat pipes, vacuum tubes, aluminum foil and manifold.

It's a device that absorbs thermal energy from the sun and converts it into usable heat. The heat is normally absorbed by water or a freeze resistant water mix, which can then be used to supplement hot water heating, space heating, etc.

WHY USE HEAT PIPE SOLAR COLLECTOR?

As there's cold wintertime in some countries and high water pressure, the open loop system ( compact vacuum tube solar water heater system ) cannot be worked under this condition.

Active system

This system pumps water through solar collector to heat exchanger ( cooper coil ) into the water tank, and the copper coil will transfer heat to the water inside the water tank. User also can use heat-transfer fluids ( usually a glycol-water antifreeze mixture ) in a area where has cold wintertime such as Minnesota. But if use glycol antifreeze system are more expensive to purchase and install and the glycol must be checked each year and changed every few years, depending on glycol quality and system temperatures.

Passive System

This is thermosiphon system, it relies on warm water rising,, a phenomenon known as natural convection, to circulate water through the solar absorber and to the tank. In this type of installation, the tank must be located above the absorber tubes/collector. As water in the absorber heats, it becomes lighter and naturally rises into the tank above. Meanwhile, cooler water in the tank flows downwards into the absorber, thus causing circulation throughout the system. This system is widly used with both flat panel and vacuum tube absorbers. The disadvantages of this design are the poor aesthetics of having a large tank on the roof and the isses with structural integrity of the roof. Often the roof must be reinforced to cope with the weight of the tank.

Heat pipe solar collector with solar conversion valve

If user has existing electric geyser or hot water tank and still want to use this tank, user can use Kingship Solar Conversion Valve also somebody called "T"junction or "+" junction. It's made of stainless steel 304 or special brass. User use this valve to allow existing electric geyser or hot water tank to be retrofitted into solar storage tank, thus eliminating the need to purchase an additional tank.

The valve simply fits into the bottom inlet/drain port and up outlet of the tank and allows to solar, solar return.
